MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) - The 11th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks will be observed Tuesday with a ceremony in Milwaukee.
Governor Scott Walker is scheduled to speak, along with Milwaukee city and county officials, and a representative from the Sikh Temple in Oak Creek.
The ceremony will take place at War Memorial Center in downtown Milwaukee.
Wreaths will be placed in a reflecting pool – and people can ring a bell from USS Milwaukee in honor of the 3,000-plus victims of the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, and a plane crash in rural Pennsylvania.
Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele says most of us have returned to our daily routines – but we must never forget the victims of the tragedy, and the responders who helped.
