MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) - A Corey Hart home run in the 9th inning gave the Brewers a 3-2 walk-off win over the Pittsburgh Pirates Saturday night.

Hart was leading the inning off when he slammed his 26th homer of the season off Pirate closer Joel Hanrahan.

The win was the 10th for Milwaukee in its last 12 games.

The Pirates, struggling to stay alive in the race for a National League wild card playoff spot, have dropped nine of 12.

Hanrahan took the loss, while Milwaukee’s closer, John Axford, picked up his 5th win.

Starter Marco Estrada kept the Brewers in the game by holding Pittsburgh to 4 hits in 7 innings, allowing just one run and striking out 10.

Pirates starter A.J. Burnett was even better, carrying a no-hitter into the 6th inning before Rickie Weeks broke it up.

Carlos Gomez produced the Brewers' first two runs. In the 3rd he walked, stole second and third, then scored on a wild pitch. In the 7th, Gomez broke a 1-1 tie with an RBI double.
