MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) - Milwaukee’s Harley-Davidson is recalling almost 2,800 motorcycles.
All 2012 “V-Rod” Night Rod Specials and certain 2013 “V-Rod” models are being recalled in order to fix a problem with a license plate bracket.
Harley says the mounting screws on the bracket could loosen – and the assembly could come in contact with the rear tire, causing the bracket to rotate and damage the rear brake line.
The recall will begin early next month.
Harley plans to notify the owners of the affected motorcycles, and dealers will make the repairs for free.
