Waukesha domestic incident turned standoff resolved

WAUKESHA, WI (WTAQ) -  A man is under arrest in Waukesha after firing his rifle at officers during a domestic incident.  

Police got a call about around 4:13 p.m. to the 1800 block of East Racine Avenue. 

Police say they were talking with a 75-year-old woman in the doorway when a 76-year-old man pointed a long rifle at them at started shooting.  They returned fire, but authorities didn't say if the man was hit or not.

Authorities were able to get a woman out safely. 

The man surrendered after about an hour. 

Authorities in the area experienced a domestic related shooting at a Brookfield spa on Sunday that left three dead. The gunman committed suicide.
