Wisconsin unemployment down slightly

MADISON, WI  (WSAU)  -  There’s some good economic news as Wisconsin has added some jobs.

The state’s unemployment rate dropped to 7.3 percent for September. That is down from 7.5 percent in August. Figures released by the Department of Workforce Development yesterday say there are 15-hundred new private sector jobs based on a survey of employers.

For the year, the state has added 4,100 private sector jobs. There is some concern about the numbers, because they could be revised after this survey sample is compared to actual data collected from state employers at the end of the quarter.
