MADISON, WI (WSAU) - An Oak Creek man is going to prison for Medicaid fraud. 39-year-old Keith London was found guilty of 17 felony counts by a jury. London was a participant in the IRIS Program, which is the self-directed Medicaid funded program that allows dependent recipients to manage many of their own cares and services.
Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen’s office says London submitted timesheets for a care worker to IRIS for payment, so that the state would reimburse London for those payments. Investigators found out London didn’t have the care worker anymore, but kept submitting timesheets and depositing the payments into his personal account.
London was sentenced to eight years and two months of imprisonment, composed of six years and eight months of initial confinement, and one year, six months of extended supervision. London also was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $28,821.56.
