MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ) - Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan tells a Wisconsin crowd the President is driving the U.S. deeper into debt.

The Janesville congressman attended a Milwaukee fundraiser Saturday night, giving a 15-minute speech. Price of admission ranged from $250 to $100,000.

The finance chairman for the Romney campaign in Wisconsin says the event raised $2.8 million.

The gathering was held just two days after President Obama made an appearance on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus.
