Gov. Walker weighs in on latest jobs report

UNDATED, WI (WTAQ) - Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker says the latest U.S. jobless figures are good news, but he refuses to give President Obama’s policies credit for the improvement.

The U.S. Labor Department reports 114,000 new jobs were added to the workforce in September and the national rate dropped to 7.8%.

Walker says it is important to see sustained growth and he credits the improving numbers to people trying to persevere and move forward. He blamed the recall effort against him for a state jobs report showing Wisconsin not faring as well as neighboring states.
