NORWALK, WI (WTAQ) - Authorities have finally identified a woman whose body was found in a burning car in western Wisconsin last month.
The State Crime Lab used DNA analysis to identify 33-year-old Karen Koca of New Lisbon.
Monroe County Sheriff Pete Quirin said the cause of her death has not been determined. Investigators have been treating the incident as a homicide.
The car fire was discovered on September 18th near Norwalk.
Officials said Koca was not the owner of the car – a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix with Minnesota license plates.
