They've already had a record setting season and the Green Bay Notre Dame Tritons girls golf team will be able to finish it off at the WIAA State Golf Tournament next week in Madison. Notre Dame captured the Division 1 Sectional Title Monday at the Countryside Golf Club in Kaukauna by a dominating 54 strokes. Notre Dame, led by medalist Jessie Staed with a 76, fired a team total of 32-, well ahead of De Pere at 374. The Redbirds also qualified as a team with that second place finish. The Tritons had four of the top six scores at the sectional. Green Bay Preble sophomore Maddy Neumeier qualified as an individual by shooting a 78. This is the 9th straight trip to state for Notre Dame. The team broke both the 9 hole and 18 hole school record scores this year, posting the lowest team score in the state in September. The event is being moved to the Cherokee Country Club in Madison next Monday and Tuesday because renovation work is being done at the usual venue, University Ridge Golf Course.
