The opening night of the Big East/SEC Challenge had Marquette in Gainsville to take on 7th ranked Florida Thursday night and the Gators chewed up and spit out the Golden Eagles 82-49. Marquettte coach Buzz Williams called it the worst loss in his tenure, "not even close." The Gators dialed up a handful of three point shots midway through the first half to break it open and they never looked back in pushing their record to 6-0. Freshman guard Michael Frazier II poured in 17 points. Vander Blue was about the only offensive threat for the Golden Eagles (5-2) finishing with a game high 20 points.
