FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ) - A Fond du Lac woman who pleaded no contest to charges of trying to kill her daughter with sleeping pills was sentenced today.
24-year-old Kenna Bowe was sentenced to 14-years in prison in Fond du Lac County Court.
Prosecutors say she gave herself and her six-year-old daughter a heavy dose of sleeping pills that could have been fatal back in January.
She also tried to stab her boyfriend with a butchers knife while he slept, but he was able to escape and call police.
Bowe would later tell police she wanted to kill herself along with her daughter so they could be together.
