BLAIR, WI (WTAQ) - A 12-year-old Amish boy who died after being trampled by horses on his western Wisconsin farm was identified Monday as Leroy Lambright of Blair.
Trempealeau County sheriff’s deputies said the youngster was unhitching a manure spreader from a team of two horses – but the animals somehow got spooked, and they trampled young Leroy as he tried to run away.
He died at the scene.
Deputies are still investigating the incident, which happened Saturday on Lambright family farm near Blair.
