EAST TROY, WI (WTAQ) - The 79 year old pilot of a small plane which crashed Saturday afternoon is being treated in a hospital for head injuries.

The Walworth County Sheriff’s office says the accident happened as Ronald G. Scott of East Troy was trying to land the experimental plane on a private grass airstrip in the town of East Troy.

Scott was alone in the plane and his condition hasn’t been reported.

He apparently designed and built the 1969 model plane himself.
