GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - A large donation has been made from the trust of a Green Bay couple to the Bay Area Humane Society.

A check for $342,627 was presented to the humane society Thursday by Clyde Truttman.

Truttman handed the check over on behalf of Norma and Angus Beaton, who lived down the street from Truttman when he was growing up. The Beatons died in 1990, and Angus was a former district manager at Wisconsin Public Service.

When he died, Angus Beaton had a clause in his will ensuring money for the care of his wife.  After the clause expired, Truttman was able to distribute money from the trust to local charities.
