GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - A Packers American Red Cross blood drive at Lambeau Field Wednesday help to collect nearly 330 pints of blood.
The goal of the 12-hour drive was around 375 units of blood.
Bobbi Snethen with the Red Cross of Northeast Wisconsin says the need is great particularly right ahead Thanksgiving, because fewer people will be coming in during the holiday.
Also Super storm Sandy forced the cancellation of around 380 blood drives across the east coast, leaving a shortfall of nearly 13,000 units of blood.
Some on the people rolling up their sleeves Wednesday came in specifically because of the storm.
