CAMP DOUGLAS, WI (WSAU) -  About 100 Wisconsin Air National Guard members were deployed yesterday. The 128th Air Control Squadron will spend six months in Southwest Asia. Some of the members left early, but most were sent off in ceremonies at Volk Field Sunday.

Lt. Col. Gerard Iverson is the commander of the 128th. He says the unit will be assigned to the 727th Expeditionary Air Control Squadron, supporting air defense for the Persian Gulf.
