Sophomore forward Josh Humphrey of the Green Bay Phoenix has been bothered by a sore knee since camp began and over the weekend, found out it was a little worse than he thought. The 6-5 swingman from Chicago had microfracture surgery to repair the damage and will be lost for the season. Humphrey started 10 games as a freshman and he plans to apply for a medical redshirt to retain the final three years of his eligibility. Head Coach Brian Wardle said while Humphrey wasn't asked to score a lot, he was one of the team's most versatile defensive players. The Phoenix open the season Saturday afternoon at 1:00 PM hosting Chicago State at the Resch Center.
