Neenah native Kris Kelderman has resigned as head mens soccer coach at UW Green Bay after just one season to take the same position at Horizon League in-state rival UW Milwaukee. Kelderman replaced Tom Poitras who left a year ago to become head coach at the University of Hartford in Connecticut. Kelderman led the Phoenix to a record of 11-7-1 last season. Green Bay athletic director Ken Bothof said in a statement released by the school it's "extremely disappointing" to be looking for a head soccer coach for the second year in a row. Kelderman takes over for Chris Whalley who was fired after going 12-20-5 in his two seasons with the Panthers. Milwaukee has reached the NCAA tournament 8 times but haven't made it in the field since 2005.
