GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - News is coming to light that newly elected Green Bay Alderman Timothy De Wane was arrested for disorderly conduct after being found drunk walking the streets.   WBAY-TV reports that De Wane was arrested on April 28th, weeks after being sworn in.  According to the police report, De Wane was about six blocks from his home, and was repeatedly knocking on a stranger’s door. In a statement to police, the resident says “after we told him to leave about four or more times, we started to get scared because we didn’t know what he was going to do.”  De Wane was found by police and was described as highly intoxicated and incomprehensible.   When an officer informed De Wane he was going to be arrested, De Wane apparently yelled “good luck with that.” A breathalyzer found De Wane’s blood alcohol level was .221, nearly three times the legal limit to drive.  It’s routine for officers to ask who could care for the individual being arrested, and De Wane replied “Jimmy Arts.”  Jim Arts is the outgoing Chief of Green Bay Police.   De Wane is assigned to the Protection and Welfare Committee for the council and one of the committee’s duties is dealing with alcohol issues like licensing, compliance, sales.  De Wane is the brother of Alderman Thomas De Wane who has been serving since 2006. WTAQ News reached out to De Wane and he declined comment.  In an email exchange, he had this to say: "I was out of bounds with my character, it has been a painful experience and I am currently moving on with this matter."
