FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ) - A fisherman spotted a body floating in Lake Winnebago Friday afternoon.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s office says the caller provided GPS coordinators, leading deputies to the body about 3 miles west of Brotherton in Calumet County.

An empty vehicle and boat trailer had been sitting in a parking lot on the other side of the big lake for the last five days. So far, no reports of a drifting boat have been made.

An autopsy on the body was done Saturday in Fond du Lac County. Authorities haven’t released the victim’s name yet.
