Area high school track and field athletes punched tickets to next week's WIAA State meet in LaCrosse at sectional meets Thursday evening.  In Division 1, the Green Bay Preble boys and Bay Port girls took teams scoring honors.  The Hornets were led by their relay teams and jumpers.  Preble won the 400, 1600 and 3200 meter relay races and got first place finishes from Robert Starnes in the long jump and Jamel Robertson in the triple jump. West De Pere's Zach Rothering swept both sprint events, the 100 and 200.  Defending 300 meter hurdle state champion Spencer Turiff will be back for a repeat in that event.    Brady Selner of Ashwaubenon was also a double qualifier on the windy afternoon, capturing first in the 1600 and 3200 meter runs.   The Pirate girls were led by Jenna Long who won the 200 and Sarah Mauel in the 3200 meter race.  Bay Port also qualified the 3200 meter relay team.  Shawano's Jamie Clark won both the shot put and discus sectional titles.  At the division 2 meet in Little Chute, the Freedom boys and girls won the team titles but the day belonged to Wrightstown sophomore Bonnie Draxler.   She won both the 100 and 400 meter races and broke the state record in the pole vault by soaring 13 feet, 3 inches.  The state meet takes place June 1-2 at the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse.
