A Brewers Buster

by
Milwaukee Brewers.
Milwaukee Brewers.

The San Francisco Giants beat the Milwaukee Brewers for the second consecutive night at Miller Park 6-4 on Tuesday night.  Catcher Buster Posey, who hit a first inning, three run homer in the first game of the series Monday night, connected again.  His two run shot off Shaun Marcum was the big blow for the visitors.  San Francisco scored all six runs on just five hits.  Marcum took the loss working six innings.  The Brewers had plenty of base runners against San Francisco's Matt Cain, coming up with 11 hits in his seven inning stint, but as has been the case for most of the month, the big hit never arrived.  Milwaukee left seven runners stranded in the loss.  Rickie Weeks did deliver a two run double and Ryan Braun had an RBI single but Milwaukee never led.  They've dropped six of their last 7, including four of five on the current homestand to drop to a season worst nine games under .500 at 17-26.  The Brewers will send Marco Estrada against Barry Zito in the series and homestand finale Wednesday afternoon.
