The Mean Girls star has denied claims she bumped her Porsche into a man identified as Thaer Kamal as she left The Sayers Club in the early hours of 14 March (12), but her alleged victim checked into a hospital emergency room for treatment after initially telling cops he didn't require medical attention.

A police investigation reportedly stalled because Lohan, who has no obligation to co-operate with the authorities, failed to get in touch with them. Kamal, who threatened to file an incident report, has also steered clear of the cops, leaving them with little evidence to prove a crime had been committed.

However, according to Eonline.com, authorities will pass the case to the District Attorney's office on Friday (04May12) to establish whether charges should be brought against Lohan.

The actress, who recently filmed a guest appearance on TV hit Glee, has been working to rebuild her reputation since her probation from a 2007 conviction for driving under the influence (DUI) was terminated in March (12).
