The actor's finances have been under investigation by tax officials Down Under for several years over allegations he owed $156 million (£97.5 million) in unpaid bills.

A criminal inquiry into his financial dealings was dropped in 2010, but a probe by the Australian Tax Office (ATO) was still ongoing.

However, on Monday (30Apr12), Hogan's lawyer Andrew Robinson confirmed he has resolved the issue with officials and agreed a confidential settlement to end the dispute.
