Tiger Starter Justin Verlander gave up a pair of runs on seven hits while striking out three in six innings. He retired 12 straight after allowing back-to-back rbi base hits in the first inning.

Duane Below, the 26-year old lefty who’s from Britton, Michigan in Lenawee County, started and gave up a run on three hits with a walk and two strikeouts over 3 2/3 innings.
