MADISON (WSAU) A Dane County judge holds a hearing today on recall election dates. All sides in the recall will appear in court - and all are expected ask for primaries on May 8th, and elections on June 5th. The dates have been endorsed by the Government Accountability Board, activists who gathered recall petitions, and the lawmakers involved in the recall.
Those dates would also involve Judge Richard Niess granting an 11 day delay. All sides support the change. Without it, the recalls would fall on the Tuesday after the Memorial Day weekend - May 29th.
A decision on recall votes for the governor, lieutenant governor, and four state senators is expected later today.
