The Milwaukee Brewers have fallen eight and a half games behind the Cincinnati Reds in their quest for a second straight National League Central Division title. Milwaukee lost a second straight heartbreaker at the Great American Ballpark 4-3 on Tuesday night. Jay Bruce hit a three run home run off Marco Estrada in the 6th to open the scoring. Estrada, just back off the disabled list, struck out a career high 12 in his 6 innings of work but that paled in comparison to Reds starter Bronson Arroyo. The veteran right hander took a no hitter into the 8th inning. He set down 20 straight batters along the way. The no hit bid was broken up by Taylor Green who lined a double down the line with one out. Corey Hart delivered a pinch hit, two run double and with two outs, Norichika Aoki came through with a game tying RBI single. Closer John Axford came on to pitch the 8th and on his first pitch, served up a long home run to center field off the bat of Drew Stubbs. Aroldis Chapman closed out the 9th for the save. Milwaukee (33-41) dropped another in a month long series of one run decisions and have matched the biggest deficit of the year in the division race. Zack Greinke faces Homer Bailey in the series finale Wednesday afternoon.
