Lauren Sesselmann, a 2001 graduate of Notre Dame Academy in Green Bay, has made the cut on the Canadian National Womens soccer team and will complete in this summer's Olympic games in London. Sessleman's father Ernie, was born in Newfoundland and Lauren became a Canadian citizen in 2010. She played for the Canadian team in the Pan American games two years ago. In high school, Sesselmann scored 101 career goals for the Tritons, and also was a starter on an undefeated state championship basketball team. She attended Purdue University and became the school's career leader in goals, assists and points.
