Angie Dowds, 42, leaped to her death at a notorious suicide spot on the south coast of England in November (11) after sending a text message to her girlfriend reading, ""On your head be it"".
An inquest into the tragedy heard this week (beg18Jun12) that Dowds, who suffered mental health problems, was upset because she was having ""troubles"" in her romance with Edwina Benson.
She travelled to sheer cliffs at Beachy Head in East Sussex, England on a Sunday last November and jumped to her death after sending Benson a string of cell phone text messages, including one reading, ""My heart is broken, my spirit is broken"".
It emerged at the hearing on Thursday (21Jun12) that Dowds had battled addictions to alcohol and drugs and had previously threatened on several occasions to take her own life.
East Sussex assistant deputy coroner Catherine Palmer recorded a verdict of suicide.
