The Milwaukee Brewers come back from an off day Thursday to open the final inter-league series of the season in Chicago against the White Sox Friday night.   Zack Greinke (7-2) faces Chris Sale (8-2) in the first of the three game weekend series.   The Brewers announced a couple of roster moves on the off day.  Brooks Conrad, who was optioned to bring up Tyler Thornburg earlier in the week, has been claimed on waivers by the Tampa Bay Rays.  Thornburg was sent back to the minors with Mike McClendon called up from AAA Nashville to add depth to the bullpen.

Milwaukee's Single A affiliate, the Wisconsin TimberRattlers, also announced roster moves.   The Midwest League first half champions are moving up All Stars Jason Rogers and Seth Harvey along with pitcher Josh Dishon, to the Brevard County (Florida) club.  Joining the TimberRattlers is Milwaukee's top pick in the recent supplemental draft, outfielder Mitch Haniger of Cal-Poly, the 38th overall choice.  Haniger will join the team when it opens second half play Friday night in Burlington.  Also joining the team is second baseman Lance Roenicke, a late round pick who just happens to be the son of Brewers manager Ron Roenicke.
