MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen has dropped his appeal of a decision on the state’s legislative boundaries. Van Hollen had appealed the decision in April, but gave it up earlier Monday. As part of the reversal, the state Department of Justice aggress to pay a little over $185,000 dollars to the plaintiff, Voces de la Frontera. That immigrant rights organization won its own challenge of new boundaries drawn for two Milwaukee Assembly district. A second group has asked its attorney fees be covered, but there has been no decision there.
