LA CROSSE, WI (WTAQ)-Officials at Hamilton Early Learning Center will give an update Monday on plans to go to a year-round academic calendar. The summer break would be shortened to six weeks, then the rest of the year would consist of nine weeks of school and three weeks of no classes. Hamilton officials say the longer summer break lets students regress too much, losing much of what they’ve learned the previous term.
