The 83rd WIAA State Boys Golf Tournament wrapped up Tuesday at University Ridge Golf Course in Madison. Hartland Arrowhead captured the Division 1 team title with a 611 total, seven shots better than Holmen. Kaukuana came in 10th, Neenah 11th and Bay Port 12th. The Division 1 medalist was Jordan Niebrugge of Mequon Homestead who followed up his opening round of -2, 70 with a sizzling, 6 under 66 to win by four shots over Henry Klongland of Stoughton and Willie Wittmann of Kaukauna. Green Bay Southwest senior Andrew Schmidt capped his career with a solid fourth place finish, shooting 73-72 over the two days. Patrick Fridland of DePere shot 78-73 to finish 14th. In Division 2, defending champion Notre Dame wound up third behind Edgerton and Madison Edgewood. The Tritons were led by Jim Liddy who finished tied for 8th at 156 along with Luxemburg-Casco's David Spengler. Charlie Danielson of Osceola and Johnny Decker of Edgerton shared medalist honors at 4 over 148. In Division 3, Cuba City won the team title by 27 shots over Osseo-Fairchild. Southwestern's Josh Smith was medalist at 155.
