MONTELLO, Wis. (WHBL) - A 17-year-old Westfield girl was killed when her vehicle went into a granite quarry in the City of Montello Sunday morning. Marquette County Sheriff’s officials say Tori Cywin was the lone occupant. A resident called 911at 10:14 a.m. to report vehicle tracks, tree damage and evidence a vehicle had gone into the quarry. A few minutes later officers confirmed the information and fire and rescue teams were dispatched. Dive teams from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and the Princeton Dive and Rescue Team dove to depths of over 80 feet to find and recover the vehicle. First responders were on the scene for over 11 hours before the vehicle was recovered and the driver was identified as Cywin.  She was pronounced dead at the scene by the County Coroner. It’s the County’s 4th traffic fatality of the year.
