MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) - The suddenly-hot Pittsburgh Pirates pounded lefty Randy Wolf for six runs in a big 3rd-inning rally, cooling off Milwaukee in an 8-2 romp.
The Brewers were coming off a four-game sweep of the team with the best record in the major leagues, the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Kevin Correia picked up his second win for the Pirates who have won 6 of their last 7 games. Wolf took the loss.
Corey Hart hit his 11th home run in the defeat and Nyjer Morgan also hit the ball out of the park.
Morgan’s homer ended his record-setting streak of at-bats at the start of a season without a run batted it. He had come to the plate 138 straight times without knocking a teammate in.
Ryan Braun had to leave the game in the 8th inning after aggravating his Achilles injury.
