The Cedar Rapids Kernals shut out the WIsconsin TimberRattlers 4-0 Thursday night in Iowa.   The home nine plated three runs in the first inning against David Goforth who took the loss working five innings, allowing all four runs on seven hits.  Chadwin Stang went two for three at the plate in the loss.   Wisconsin (34-20) still leads the Western Division by 2 games over Beloit and after one more game against the Kernals Friday night, the TimberRattlers travel to Beloit for a three game series that should decide the first half champion.
