The Milwaukee Brewers completed their first series sweep of the season, a big four game set in Los Angeles against the NL West leading Dodgers, 6-2 on Thursday night. Aramis Ramirez swatted a two run home run in the third inning of Chad Billingsley and Carlos Gomez followed up a four hit game with a pinch hit, two run homer later to make a winner out of Zack Greinke. He improved to 6-2 by working 6 innings, allowing a run and striking out 7. The Brewers played without Ryan Braun after he was scratched from the lineup with a tight achilles tendon. Matt Kemp of the Dodgers went back onto the disabled list after an MRI revealed more swelling in a hamstring that had him on the shelf for two weeks in May. Milwaukee (23-28) returns home to welcome the Pittsburgh Pirates to Miller Park for a weekend set. Randy Wolf will pitch the series opener Friday night.
