HOWARD, WI (WTAQ) - Authorities in Brown County are searching for the suspect in the armed robbery of a Howard gas station.
Brown County Sheriff's Department says it happened at the Grand Central Station, 1575 Lineville Road, at 12:07 a.m. Sunday.
Investigators say the suspect went inside, pointed a handgun at the attendant and demanded money from the register. The suspect then walked behind the counter and took cash from the till, put it into a white plastic bag with blue lettering, before he ran off.
Officers tried tracking down the suspect using a K-9, but were able to find him.
Sheriff’s officials describe the suspect as a black man who is approximately 5’7” and weighs 160 pounds. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a heavy black jacket, black pants and black and white Converse style tennis shoes. He also had a red shirt pulled over his face.
