KENOSHA, WI (WTAQ) - Brady Strangstalien of Madison is the winner of the State Amateur golf tournament.
He fired an even par-72 in his 4th and final round Thursday at Strawberry Creek in Kenosha. And he finished at 6-under par 282, one stroke ahead of Sam Frank of Oconomowoc.
Derrick Meyer, formerly of Chilton, finished 3rd. Third-round leader Kyle Henning of Brookfield tied for 4th with Tim McCormick.
Strangstalien will marry his grade school sweetheart Friday night in Westby. But he said he was still able to focus on his golf game down the stretch.
