SHAWANO, WI (WTAQ) - A crash in Shawano Monday has left two people dead.

Police say it happened at the intersection of East Green Bay Street and Airport road around 1:15 p.m.

A car driving westbound on Green Bay Street turned to go south on Airport Road, when it slammed into an oncoming motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcylce, 56-year-old Gene Greene of St. Charles, Illinois, was rushed to the hospital and was pronounced dead upon arrival. 

A passenger in the car, 79-year-old Patricia Voight of Shawano was pronounced dead at the hospital as well. The car's driver, 80-year-old Roger Voight of Shawano, was treated and released.

Roger Voight was given a ticket for failing to yield the right of way while making a left turn. Alcohol was not involved.
