GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - Two brothers have been arrested for more than two dozen burglaries and theft involving various businesses stretching across three counties. Dating back to May, the bulk of the crimes were committed in Brown County and the Sheriff’s department referred charges Gregory and Daniel Vandenack. Most of the time the brothers allegedly forced their way in by prying open doors, other times they simply walked in through an unlocked door. Estimated damage to property and stolen cash and property add up to a few thousand dollars. Brown County Sheriff Capt. David Konrath says a truck was stolen from one site and a car broken into at another location. A wide variety of items were stolen, including cameras, TVs, laptops, a chest freezer containing frozen pizza, bicycles, electronics, and safes were taken. The brothers hit up several storage sites, marine buildings, and burglarized businesses without stealing anything. Konrath says some of the stolen property was dumped into the East River in Green Bay. Several burglaries were committed in Oconto County and one in Shawano County.
