GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - The woman injured in a high-speed chase Saturday remains in critical condition Monday.

The chase, which spanned Brown and Oconto County, began on Highway 41 in Oconto County.

Driving southbound, it ended up in Brown County when authorities say the suspect, 25-year-old Kyle Buckles, left the stolen vehicle he was driving.

Buckles was arrested on Sunday. He remains jailed on a probation hold, but was not formally charged Monday.

During the chase, a squad car driven by a Brown County Sheriff's deputy went out of control and hit another vehicle. Officials say the deputy swerved to avoid stop sticks put out to stop Buckles. They say he went across the median and hit an oncoming car, driven by 27-year-old Michelle Lecker of Milwaukee. She is being treated at St. Vincent Hospital.  A passenger in her car, and the deputy suffered non-life threatening injuries.
