GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - Brown County Emergency Management officials say they will open a cooling shelter Thursday due to the severity of heat.

Officials say the shelter will be located at the Brown County Health Department, 610 S. Broadway in Green Bay. It'll be on the 2nd floor conference room.

The shelter will be open starting at 12:30 p.m. and run until 6 p.m. 

On hand will be health nurses, staff from the local Red Cross and other amenities to help keep people cool.
