Keaton's outfit from Batman Returns, which includes a rubber bodysuit, boots and rubberised cape, is expected to fetch up to $50,000 (£31,250) at the four-day Profiles in History sale at the end of the month (28-31Jul12), while Carrey's question mark costume from Batman Forever is estimated to sell for up to $30,000 (£18,750).

The auction will also feature actor Peter Mayhew's Chewbacca head from the Star Wars movies, X-Men character Wolverine's black leather battlesuit and Ian McKellen's Magneto costume, also from X-Men.
