WASHINGTON D.C. (WTAQ) - U.S. House Budget Chairman Paul Ryan of Janesville has more than 10 times as much campaign money as his Democratic opponent for this fall.

The Republican Ryan had $4.6 million on hand at the start of the year, compared to $304,000 reported by Kenosha business owner Rob Zerban.

Ryan's campaign said it raised almost a half-million dollars from October through December, and it collected $2.5 million for all of last year.

Zerban, who's on the Kenosha County Board, raised $220,000 in the final quarter of 2011. And he took in just over a half-million for all of last year.

Ryan is going for his 8th two-year term this fall in southeast Wisconsin's 1st District. He has won his last five elections by getting at least 63 percent of the vote.
