LACROSSE, Wis (WSAU) There was a dorm fire on the campus of UW-LaCrosse over the weekend. There were no injuries.

It happened early Sunday morning in the basement of Drake Hall. The building’s alarm system sounded at 4:23am. Students were evacuated and were temporarily moved to nearby dorms and apartment.

The school’s web site says the fire started in a couch, but the exact cause is not known. As of yesterday afternoon, the dorm was being vented and students. The dorm can't be reoccupied until the heating and electrical systems are re-inspected. Students are expected to be back in their rooms shortly.
