MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - Governor Scott Walker said Wednesday that he’d rather have his recall election sooner than later.

The Republican Walker told the Associated Press he believes there are enough valid petition signatures to order the recall vote – and the sooner it’s over, the better it is for the people of Wisconsin.

Democrats have feared that Walker and his supporters would try to drag things out for as long as possible, so they can keep raising unlimited amounts of campaign cash.

Walker says he believes Wisconsinites want to move forward – and he believes he’ll win in any type of election, regardless of who his Democratic opponent will be.
