MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ) - Wisconsin state Representative Tamara Grigsby is out of ICU and able to breathe and communicate on her own. A Grigsby spokesperson says testing shows the 37 year old Democrat hasn’t suffered brain damage, but doctors are dealing with complications related to her liver and kidneys. Grigsby has been treated for cancer, but it hasn’t been made clear whether her time in intensive care was connected to that disease, or to a pre-existing condition which may have been made worse by the cancer or its treatment. Grigsby was admitted to the hospital December 18th.
