HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - The GOP Presidential campaign was expected to come to one of Michigan's, if not one of the nation's, strongest Republican Party bastions of Ottawa County before the February 28th Presidential Primary, and both of the leading candidates will indeed have a presence along the Lakeshore a week before voters go to the polls.
The Ottawa County Republicans announced on Sunday night that former US Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) will speak at a rally on Hope College's Maas Center that will be held from 5 PM to 6:30. That rally is free and open to the public.
Local GOP officials added that a few additional tickets for Tuesday's party fundraising luncheon at Hudsonville's Pinnacle Center featuring Ann Romney, wife of former Governor Mitt Romney (R-MA), are still available through the Ottawa County Republicans' website (www.ottawagop.org).
Senator Santorum is currently leading Governor Romney in most recent polling, with former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-GA) and current House Representative Ron Paul (R-TX) also on the Michigan primary ballot.
